Voted Best Crabcakes!
We’re owners Nancy and Chuck Wojciehowski. We both grew up in Chester and opened our first restaurant in 1970. We ran our two restaurants for eight years before deciding to move to Phoenix, AZ. We opened five restaurants there, bringing a “Taste of Philadelphia” to the desert area. In 1987, we returned home, opening it as a full-service restaurant. In 2001, we decided to set our full attention on something we love doing, which is cooking; especially anything that includes crab, including our famous crab cakes, an item we’ve made for each of our restaurants.
This led to Capt’n Chucky’s, which has allowed us to provide our products to wholesalers, restaurants and to retail customers, selling to all at wholesale prices. Our recipe for continued success includes a great deal of energy, large doses of determination, dedication, and a desire to please the customer.
You’ll find our Newtown Square location at 5159 West Chester Pike in the Ridley Creek Plaza, across the street from Ridley Creek State Park. Look for white Capt’n Chucky’s trucks sitting up on the hill. The Newtown Square location is also our production plant where all those wonderfully-fresh, made-daily items are created for all the Capt’n Chucky locations. All items are made fresh and our very high standards of quality ensure each and every meal you get from us will be outstanding.
We’re very proud of our fundraising programs and the fact that we’ve been able to help many local churches, school groups and organizations. The program is very flexible, allowing orders to be made for four, six, or 12 people and can include crab cakes, Maryland Crab soup, and our Crabby Critter appetizer.
Call us to ask how your organization can take advantage of this successful program. We look forward to seeing you soon!
